Welcome to the 2019 European edition of 3D Echo 360®
meeting in Padua, Italy!

September 13 - 15, 2019

The added value of implementing the third dimension in your echo routine

Three-dimensional echocardiography has completed its transition from a research tool to a clinically useful imaging modality able to provide additional and unique information to address patients’ management

3D echo 360° has established itself as an exciting, cutting-edge course for all those who are interested in 3D echo. A superb and experienced faculty will join us in Padua to offer a unique 3D echo learning experience which will include lectures, hands-on sessions, live sessions and clinical cases with lots of time for disussion. To meet the different educational expectations of all attendees. the workshop will double its educational offerings by planning two parallel courses.

Attending the 3D echo 360° course will also allow you to find out the latest technical solutions and applications provided by industry. You will have an opportunity to individually test applications and softwares in dedicated industry lounges.

If you are planning to buy a 3D echo system, this is a unique opportunity to see, try and compare the latest 3D echo systems and software applications on the market.

Proposed Agenda

The workshop will start with a plenary session during which the program Directors will welcome the delegates and explain course organization and objectives. The opening will be followed by a lecture held by the Chief of the Cardiology clinic about the long educational tradition of the School of Medicine of the University of Padua.

Thereafter, attendees will start the course track which will best fit with their educational goals. Each course will last two-and-a-half days, and will be organized as a mix of lectures, hands-on sessions and live sessions. During the lunch time, working lunch symposia will be organized with the support of the industry.

On Sunday, there will be a Case-based session during which each faculty member wil have 10 min to present a meaningful case illustrating the added value of 3D echo to solve difficult clinical questions or assess complications of interventional procedures. Then, the course will finish with some fun at the 3D Echo Jeopardy game, where the European team will challenge the USA team and attendees will have the opportunity to participate and win prizes.

Workshop learning objectives

Upon conclusion of this program the participants should be able to:
  • Learn cardiac anatomy to be able to post-process 3D echocardiography data sets
  • Understand the added clinical value of using 3D echocardiography to assess the anatomy of cardiac structures and the pathophysiology of cardiac diseases
  • Know the pros and cons of the different software packages to post-process 3D echocardiography data sets to obtain relevant clinical data
  • Implement the 3D technique in the routine of their echocardiography laboratories
  • Understand how to use 3D echocardiography to plan and monitor interventional procedures in the cath lab
  • Compare the data obtained with 3D echocardiography with those provided by other imaging modalities (namely CT and CMR)
